GLENEAGLES, Scotland (AP) -- President Bush collided with a local police officer and fell during a bike ride on the grounds of the Gleneagles golf resort while attending a meeting of world leaders Wednesday.

Bush suffered ''mild to moderate'' scrapes on his hands and arms that required bandages by the White House physician, said White House spokesman Scott McClellan. The accident occurred on asphalt, McClellan said. It was raining lightly at the time, and Bush was wearing a helmet.

Bush suffers cuts, bruises while biking

CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) — President Bush suffered cuts and bruises early Saturday afternoon when he fell while mountain biking on his ranch, White House spokesman Trent Duffy said.

Bush was on the 16th mile of a 17-mile ride when he fell, Duffy said. He was riding with a military aide, members of the Secret Service and his personal physician, Dr. Richard Tubb.

"He had minor abrasions and scratches on his chin, upper lip, nose, right hand and both knees," Duffy said. "Dr. Tubb, who was with him, cleaned his scratches, said he was fine. The Secret Service offered to drive him back to the house. He declined and finished his ride."

Bush faints at White House, recovers quickly
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Bush was doing well and back at work Monday after fainting briefly in the White House residence while choking down a pretzel a day earlier.

"I feel great," Bush told reporters on the White House lawn as he prepared to board a helicopter for a two-day trip to the Midwest and Louisiana.

"My mother always said, 'When you're eating pretzels, chew before you swallow,"' Bush said. "Always listen to your mother."

White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said the president had been checked by his physician, Dr. Richard Tubb, Monday and his vital signs were normal. Bush had never before had a fainting spell, Fleischer said after checking with the president.

Accident prone? Or something else?

So that's what the box on Dirty Bush's back is for? After his program crashes, it's his re-start button?

My guess would be seizures caused by changes in his brain resulting from years of alcohol abuse. Seizures of that type can be difficult to control. Trying different kinds of medication in the attempt to come up with the right combination of medicines to control the seizures could also account for Bush's on-again, off-again thousand-mile stare and his slurring of speech, wbich also seems to come and go. His personality type is often non-compliant with doctors' recommendations, so perhaps he doesn't take his medications willingly or as directed. I'm betting on seizures. But we'll probably never know.
