Populism Republican Style

"Even if you never met him, you know this guy," Rove said, per Christianne Klein. "He's the guy at the country club with the beautiful date, holding a martini and a cigarette that stands against the wall and makes snide comments about everyone who passes by."

Don't you just hate that guy? Every time I drive my Rolls Royce to the country club, like an average American, there's always some guy there making snide comments.

And we thought the GOP's most trusted base of support would be the so-called "Wally World Republicans", which (come to think of it) are really more in the vein of "white trash," and maybe lower.

Yet still like to harbour arrogant notions of White Racial Consciousness as seem straight out of apartheid South Africa's brand of white Afrikaner misogyny.

A misogyny dominated by the likes of hard work, compulsory military service, beer, sport (especially rugby and cricket), jingoistic delusions about "racial honour" and plenty more where that came from....
