The Pope Comes to New York

The Pope Comes to New York - 70's blaxploitation flick, or blogger bait? If you guessed the latter, you win a coveted Kenosha Kid no-prize! I dragged my sorry ass to try to take a picture of il Papa's visit to the Park East Synagogue today. Here are the results.

Television skies

Here comes the Pope!

Don't blink or you'll miss - D'OH!

And there was much rejoicing.

LOL

You always make me laugh!

Anyone remember back in the 80s when JPII visited Chicago and people threw Pope "coins" in the street -- like they do for Mardi Gras?

I haven't heard of any Pope-bilia this time around.

SB above clued me into your blog. i shall return.

First let me say "You? Never! Did the Kenosha Kid?" heh heh. a fine set of sentences to gain yer blog name.

also, i think 70s blaxpoitation flick is the way to go with that title. and a good guest spot from Antonio Fargas.
